Sources in the Bishkek office of the Directorate of the UN High Commissar for Refugees maintain that another group of refugees departed Kyrgyzstan for the United States, Canada, and Austria. Numbering 19 people, the group mostly comprises citizens of Uzbekistan who ended up in the neighbor country in the wake of the events in Andijan in 2005 when the authorities had the regular army mow down a peaceful demonstration.
