Kyrgyzstan: Opposition is to demand immediate resignation of the President on Monday

While answering a question at a press conference on Sunday whether carrying out negotiations of opposition leaders with the President Kurmanbek Bakiev was possible, Felix Kulov declared, new demands on immediate resignation of the head of the state and forming national accord government would be raised on Monday. According to the leader of Incorporated opposition front words, these demands will be also sounded at tomorrow's session of parliament.

Let us remind, throughout last week Jogorku Kenesh did not assemble in Bishkek since as deputies worked in regions. After this short break the first session will be held to Monday.

Felix Kulov also spoke on prospects of carrying out a constitutional reform. Kulov informed, that the President was planning to tighten the process of carrying out constitutional reform artificially through blocking Constitutional court’s formation. Let us remind, without Constitutional court’s expert judgement the parliament cannot begin consideration of any amendments to the new constitution. "The President wishes to put a question of holding constitutional reform on national referendum. Holding referendum requires a long preparatory period, half a year minimum; that could enable the President to rearrange forces, assemble his criminal supporters who will try to set their own "order" in the country, - Kulov declared.
