UzA national news agency reports that a republican seminar "Higher effectiveness of propaganda of national ideas" took place at the Samarkand Regional Center of Young Travellers and Regional Ethnographers. The event was attended by young travellers from Karakalpakstan, Tashkent, and other regions of Uzbekistan, and by representatives of regional centers of ethnography.

Meetings, forums, and roundtable conferences are organized all over the country in accordance with President Islam Karimov's resolution "On higher efficiency of propaganda of national ideas".

Those present at the seminar in Samarkand discussed the reforms carried out in the years of sovereignty, spoke of the necessity to raise the harmoniously developed youth and to raise it with an emphasis on faithfulness to the Motherland, respect of national and universal values, and disdain of "various evil trends".

Samarkand experience in this sphere was discussed along with the matters of developing ideological immunity in the young.
