Parties of the opposition discuss their future tactics in connection with the snap parliamentary election that may take place in Kyrgyzstan later this year.
The snap parliamentary election may be proclaimed in the wake of the referendum scheduled for October 21. The next parliament will be formed by party lists and the political party with the majority of seats on the parliament will nominate the premier and form the government.
Sources say that Ak-Shumkar, Ata-Meken, and Asaba have already discussed common tactic in connection with the election and pondered a merger. Negotiations over unification intensified with appearance of Ak Jol Kyrgyzstan (Fair Way of Kyrgyzstan) earlier this week. Experts believe that this pro-president party may actually come in first in the election.
Ferghana.Ru sources claim that parties of the opposition will announce results of the consultations next week.
