Emomali Rakhmon's four day visit to Japan begins on December 2. It is going to become the first official visit of the president of Tajikistan to Japan.

Rakhmon will attend the First Asian-Pacific Water Summit on December 23. His schedule in Japan includes meetings with the prime minister, foreign minister, and representatives of the business community. His tete-a-tete meeting with Emperor Akihito is scheduled for December 5.

No documents are to be signed on the visit, insiders say.
