An action in memory of free-lance journalist Alisher Saipov assassinated in Osh 40 days ago will take place in central Bishkek on December 4. A seedling with damaged roots will be propped up in front of the government house at 1 a.m. (Bishkek time) and decorated with black ribbons.
The action is expected to remind general public of the assassination of Saipov shot to death in Osh.
"A young seedling callously uprooted will never bear fruit. And neither will Alisher work or live now," one of the organizers of the action told Ferghana.Ru.
The action will be arranged by Saipov's friends and colleagues who decided against organization of a banal rally or whatever. The news of the action was passed by word of mouth. Everyone is welcome to turn up for the action, tie a black ribbon to the seedling, and thus remind President Kurmanbek Bakiyev that his promise to keep the investigation under personal control is remembered.
